Andrew Card was appointed Chief of Staff Nov. 26, 2000 under Pres. George W. Bush. He is the longest serving Chief of Staff since the Eisenhower administration.

· President & Chief Executive Officer of the American Automobile Manufacturers Association. (AAMA dissolved in 1998)
· Aug. 1992; coordinated Administration disaster relief in the wake of Hurricane Andrew.
· 11th Secretary of Transportation under Fmr. Pres. George Bush (1992-1993).
· Assistant to the President & Deputy Chief of Staff from 1988 to 1992.
· Senior Adviser to the Bush/Quayle Campaign.
· Served on the Bush/Quayle transition team.
· Special Assistant to the Pres. for Intergovernmental Affairs & subsequently Deputy Asst. to the President & Director of Intergovernmental Affairs under the Reagan Administration.
· Ran for Governor of Massachusetts in 1982 and lost.
· Massachusetts House of Representatives (1975-1983).
· Engineer by training.

· Graduated from University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Engineering.
· Attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
· Attended John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
